Tunisia-Ennahda condemns the Tunisian Association of Young Lawyers accusations

The Ennahdha movement responded promptly to the Tunisian Association of Young Lawyers statement which called for the judgement of Rached Ghanouchi.
The Islamist movement prominently displayed its profound respect to all the lawyers and highlighted the crucial role they carry out in the democratic process.
Through its official statement, Ennahdha strongly denounced the direct accusation made against the party. Ennahdha positively affirms that its official position just consisted in denouncing the intrusion of martyrs Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi defence group to the private office of the public prosecutor to the Tunis Court of First Instance.

Ennahdha lamented the notorious political exploitation of a case still pending before the court. Finally, the party added that they believe in the independence of the judiciary system from any”political infighting.”
