The executive board f the Ennahdha party considered its necessary ” to widen the government’s political belt to conduct the needed reformations and discuss socio-economic demands within the framework of a broad national accord.
“The Ennahdha movement is entirely convinced that Tunisia requires more than ever a widening of the political belt of the executive power,” the party stated in a press release issued at the end of Thursday’s meeting of its executive board.
The party called on the nation’s active forces to support the government and give it the chance to attend the various challenges on the horizon, praising, in this regard, the efforts exerted by the government during the first 100 days of its mandate.
The movement also asked for dialogue between the various political parties and national organisations to deliver a new economic recovery plan.
“Dialogue is the single way out of the crisis rocking the country,” the political party maintained, calling for the mobilisation of all available resources to secure civil peace, national solidarity and people’s unity.
On another note, the movement welcomed the adoption by the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) of the bill on the social and solidarity economy with a majority of votes, asking for the launch of a government campaign to define and promote this new law.
This bill aims at promulgating the first legislative framework in Tunisia regulating the social and solidarity economy to develop its contribution to job creation and the boosting of economic growth.
This economic concept can create more than 200 thousand additional jobs and contribute up to 10% to the Gross Domestic Product.
