Tunisia-Ennahdha condemns interrogation conditions of Ghannouchi and Laârayedh

Ennahdha Executive Office issued, Friday, September 23, 2022, a press release to address the recent audiences that involved the leader Ennahda leader Rached Ghannouchi and his vice-president, Ali Laârayedh as part of the affair of sending young Tunisians to conflict zones, particularly in Syria.

Ennahdha underlined that such malicious accusations and manufactured affairs are summoned by power whenever it is essential to divert the people’s attention to the crisis or to target a political party.

The movement firmly denounced the conditions of hearing and the ill-treatment which was inflicted on Rached Ghannouchi and Ali Laârayedh “which constitute aggression on dignity and respect for the symbols of the State, a form of torture and a violation of human rights “.

It recalled faith in an independent justice reiterating its firm convictions vis-à-vis the accusations of terrorism which targeted its leader “who always fought against extremism and for the values ​​of freedom and civil status setting a culture compatibility between Islam and democracy ”.
