Tunisia-Ennahdha expresses reservations on finance bill

Ennahdha Movement Shura council has communicated its profound concern about the abnormal degeneration of the economic and social situation in the country.

In a press release, it criticized the finance bill for not taking into record the gravity of the situation and the exceptional circumstances that the nation is going through at the moment, emphasising the absence of consistency and a clear strategy in the project.

The council additionally called for taking into consideration the possible implications of the evolution of the crisis and to avoid the constant adjustment of budgets, accentuating the need to impose better control on tax evasion in all its forms.

It also directed the increase in the budget of the Ministry of Health, the cut of the fiscal pressure, to coordinatee with the BCT, and the resumption of consultations with the IMF, renewing its invitation to a national economic and social dialogue which would include all components of the political scene.
