The executive office of the Ennahdha movement restated, after its meeting, its call for the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine, and the liberation of all those apprehended since July 25. The party expressed its shock at the government’s silence in the face of increasing prices and the shortage of several basic necessities which are exacerbating the economic and social crisis in the country.
Ennahdha again expressed its concern about the state of health of its leader Noureddine Bhiri, who is on his 25th day of hunger strike. It also slammed the decision of the military justice to open an inquiry into the former president of the bar association Abderrazek Kilani and expressed rejection of all attempts by the executive power to get their hands on justice.
