Tunisia-Ennahdha rejects PM Elyes Fakhfakh Government,will not grant the vote of confidence

Ennahdha has refused to grant the vote of confidence and decided to pull out from  Prime Minister-designate Elyes Fakhfakh proposed cabinet, announced Shura Council’s president Abdelkarim Harouni in a press conference

This decision comes after  Fakhfakh’s refusal to form a national unity government, he pointed out.

“We are keen for the government to continue to succeed in overcoming the economic and social challenges and to have stability in Parliament,” added Harouni.

Harouni explained that the proposal made by Fakhfakh to his government: “Is below the required standard and does not achieve the goal of national unity; it includes an imbalance between the participating parties.”
