Former Ennahdha member Abdellatif Mekki assured this Monday that, Ennahdha attempted to approach Kaïs Saïed, a few weeks before his announcement of July 25, 2021. And this, through his brother Naoufel Saïed, since they had seen that Naoufel Saïed allowed himself to speak on behalf of his brother without any objection from the latter.
Makki told a private radio that he went to meet Naoufel Saïed, in the company of Ajmi Lurimi, and that they suggested finding a blockage outing and forming a parliamentary block which would be dedicated to Saïed to pass his constitutional initiative.
Mekki added that Saïed did not follow up on their proposal and that they later understood that he was already preparing for his July 25.
