Tunisia-Ennahdha wants a dialogue that excludes no one

Ennahdha executive office estimated that the priority to be paid attention to is the health and economic crisis in order to enhance the situation of Tunisians and relieve it.

In a statement on Sunday, July 31, 2021, the party’s executive office asserted that the exceptional measures declared by the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, infringe the Constitution and the law. The executive office additionally considered that these measures, having been introduced as a response to the legitimate demands of the Tunisian people, do not represent a resolution to the current situation since they introduce new perils to the suffering of the Tunisian people by imperilling the stability and social and economic security of the people. Subsequently, the statement maintained that the only likely and effective solution to these issues is not the monopolization of powers, which increases the spread of corruption, nepotism and injustice. The party called for a dialogue that does not exclude anyone.

The executive board called on the President of the Republic to prioritize the national interest and return to constitutional legitimacy.

Finally, the executive office of the Ennahdha movement declared that it will proceed to defend the interests of the Tunisian people, their dignity, their freedom and the regular functioning of institutions. The party has expressed its willingness to make all required sacrifices and concessions in order to achieve these goals.
