Cases of suffocation have been registered among students at Chatt Esalem primary school in the governorate of Gabès, a Civil Protection source told Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region.
Our source specified that 12 students were moved to the Gabès University Hospital, where they received the required health care. Their state of health is stable, and some of them have left the hospital, he said.
It should be remarked that the suffocation incident was due to gas leaks from the Gabès chemical complex, close to the school. This is not the first time, as such incidents have been repeated in recent years while waiting to know the causes of the leak.
