Tunisia-Faker Bouzghia reveals details of explosion in Rades oil region

In a statement to Tunisie Numerique, today, Thursday, March 14, 2024, the person in charge of information and communication, Faker Bouzghia, noted that the Minister of the Interior moved to the gas warehouse of the National Petroleum Distribution Company in Rades following the fire that broke out this morning, to inspect and follow up on the work of the different security units.

He stated that ten fire trucks and eight ambulances were dispatched, along with two mechanical ladder trucks, to partake in extinguishing the fire and treating the wounded, adding that 36 people with burns varying between first and second degree were recorded, and 17 of them were transferred to the severe burns hospital in Ben Arous, noting that their condition is stable.The same source also revealed that a forensic inquiry was opened by the security units, in coordination with the Public Prosecution, to determine the causes of this incident.
