Tunisia-Faouzi Khabouchi: The individual taxi strike was successful at more than 70% [Audio]

The secretary general of the Tunisian Union of Individual Taxis Faouzi Khabouchi expressed himself today to Tunisie Numérique on the open strike of professionals in the sector held today in  Grand-Tunis.

Our speaker reported that taxi drivers have organized the protest movement in question to voice their fed up in the face of transport of people in private cars.

Khabouchi regarded this measure as illegal indicating that the owners of the application are “powerful” and “close to power”.

He added that the strike was successful by more than 70%.

“We will continue to safeguard our rights,” said Khabouchi calling on the competent authorities to assume their responsibilities.
