President of the Independent Higher Authority for Elections (Isie), Farouk Bouasker confirmed during a press conference held this Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Tunis, that the ISIE had received 3 appeals against the referendum’s results.
The first appeal was filed by Afek Tounes party, the second by Echaab Movement and the third appeal concerns I Watch. Bouaskar denounced the involvement of civil society in this smear campaign, affirming that administrative justice will not deal with this issue because the appeals are connected to the referendum campaign.
He stressed that the results of the referendum are legal and are confirmed by minutes which will be posted on the Isie website.
