Ennahdha Movement spokesman Fethi Ayadi today declared his party’s stand on the decision of the General Tunisian Labor Union (UGTT) on the organization of early legislative and presidential elections.
Ayadi explained that Ennahdha backs this proposal if the political crisis has not been subdued. He emphasised that the crisis in question will be the topic of a dialogue between the various parties involved.
“In case the dialogue has not succeeded in solving the crisis, Ennahdha will propose the organization of early presidential and legislative elections,” he announced.
He added that the organization of early elections entails the amendment of the electoral law and the establishment of the Constitutional Court.
