Tunisia-Fight against the coronavirus: the government announces new measures

The Ministry of Health issued a press release on the evening of Sunday, September 27, announcing new decisions taken with the Ministries of the Interior and the Environment, in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health has decided to strengthen the monitoring of the application of the health protocols put in place for cafes, tea rooms, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

-Total ban on the use of shisha
-Use of disposable cutlery and plates
-Application of physical distancing
-Aeration of spaces

Regarding the great outdoors and weekly markets, wearing a mask and physical distancing are mandatory.
– Prohibition of manifestations and events whether cultural, sporting, political or scientific which welcome a large number of participants.
-Limitation of the number of people in parks, theaters and cinemas
-Limitation of the number of participants in weddings and funerals
-Limitation to 30% of the number of participants in wedding parties in homes and party rooms
-Obligation to wear a mask in public transport

On the other hand, special measures have been taken for regions heavily affected by the coronavirus.
-Application of general confinement for a period of two weeks
-Closure of busy public places
– Prohibition of travel outside its regions
-Wearing the mask even in open spaces
