The minister-counsellor in charge of relations with civil society and constitutional bodies, Belhassen Ben Amor, oversaw, this Thursday, an open dialogue meeting with the segments of civil society in order to review, attempt to understand and obtain solutions, for deviant acts by young people.
The purpose of this dialogue is to produce a participatory national strategy in collaboration with civil society and the different stakeholders, to prevent hazardous and deviant behaviour, and to uncover solutions other than police repression and other classic management methods of the young people in the city.
The minister adviser stipulated that the behaviours to be examined in this strategy would be violence, addictions, sexual crimes, clandestine migration … many deviant actions which that allow us to understand the confusion of the Tunisian youth that stays without stable social benchmarks and disturbed by ‘a disappointing political class, which made it lose the taste for perseverance and drove it towards ultimate choices, including migration under any conditions.
Finally, an engaging and intelligent initiative on the part of the administration, to seek a new approach to young Tunisians frustrated with their elite. This means that the task will not be easy, given the vastness of the damage generated by this elite!
