The municipality of Gabès and several other municipalities ended operations last Thursday to clean up the ashes of the fire which broke out at the Jara henna market.
Mohamed Cherif Taher, secretary general of the municipality of Gabès, confirmed this Tuesday, January 9, 2024, to Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region, that traders will resume their activities while waiting for the support that will be allocated for the reconstruction of the market.
We recollect that the public prosecutor at the court of first instance of Gabès confirmed that the public prosecutor has authorized the opening of a pretrial investigation into the fire which broke out yesterday Thursday at the henna market of Jara, against any individual who may be revealed by the investigation, for deliberately setting fire to uninhabited stores, following the provisions of Article 308 of the Penal Code.
