In an official statement to Tunis Afrique Presse Kef’s regional director, Monsif Sayed affirmed that civil protection units were able to properly control out a fire that broke out in grain fields in Sidi Ahmed Essalah in Kef. The source added that flames burned out 5 hectares out of 20.
He further stated that the rapid intervention of civil protection units and the contribution of citizens enabled to control and cut back the intensity of the fire. Apparent reasons behind the fire outbreak are still unknown.
