Tunisia-First leaks concerning members of Mechichi Cabinet

According to well-informed sources, the list of members of the future government of prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi is being finalized. .Below is the  first leaks concerning this formation:

  • Finances: Khalil Chtourou (current SG of the government)
  • Development and Cooperation: Belgacem Ayed (current: President of the General Committee for Sectoral and Regional Development)
  • Industry & Commerce: Badii Klibi (current CEO of the Group of Canned Food Industries (GICA) and member of CONECT).
  • Justice: Taieb Rached (current 1st President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Provisional Body for the control of the constitutionality of bills), or  Thouraya Jeribi
  • Interior: Lassaad Driz (former CG adviser in charge of security issues, in 2014 under Mehdi Jomaa).
  • Education: Fadhel Missaoui
  • Agriculture: Mohamed Boufaroua (current DG of forests)
  • Energy & Mines: Hazem Yahiaoui (current CEO of TRAPSA, a former SNDP and former director of hydrocarbons at the ministry)
  • Health: Chokri Hammouda (current DG at the Ministry of Health)
  • Transport: Sarra Rajeb (ex-Secretary of State for Transport)
  • Social Affairs: Imed Turki (current CEO of CNSS, former CEO of CNRPS, former CEO of CNFCPP and former chief of staff of the
  • Minister of Employment), or Habib Kchaou
  • Foreign Affairs: Tarek Ben Salem (current Ambassador in Moscow, former diplomatic advisor to the CG 2016-2019)
  • Defence: Imed Hazgui
