Tunisia-Floods in Libya: 100 individuals rescued by the Tunisian team

Twenty-three bodies were retrieved and more than 100 individuals were saved during operations carried out in Libya yesterday Friday by the Tunisian rescue team, according to the Civil Protection spokesperson.

The previous Tuesday, a military plane took off towards Libya with medical, search and rescue equipment on board. The equipment includes a civil protection team as well as the human and material resources required to provide aid to affected people.

On September 10, a violent storm struck several regions of eastern Libya, including the cities of Derna, Benghazi, Al-Bayda, Al-Marj and Sousse, causing the death of thousands of people and the disappearance of many others.
