Tunisia-FM Nabil Ammar meets with Joey Hood and Richard Norland

 Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar received today, August 23, 2023, United States Ambassador to Tunis, Joey Hood and U.S. Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland.

The meeting concentrated on the historic and solid Tunisian-American relations and the means of developing and diversifying them further in the different fields as well as the coordination of the positions of the two countries concerning regional and international issues of common interest.

The Head of Diplomacy recalled on this occasion, Tunisia’s position of principle concerning the Libyan political process on the necessity for an inter-Libyan solution under the leadership of the Libyans within the framework of an inclusive national dialogue sponsored by the United Nations.

For their part, American diplomats praised Tunisia’s constructive part in the Libyan political process, recalling the different meetings held in Tunis as part of the encouragement of inter-Libyan dialogue.
