Tunisia-FM receives UK ambassador in Tunis

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi, on Friday, received British Ambassador to Tunisia Edward Oakden, at the end of his mission to Tunisia.

The British diplomat reiterated his country’s readiness to continue supporting Tunisia, while commending the level of cooperation and consultation between the two countries on regional and international issues of common interest, said the Foreign Affairs Department in a statement.

Jerandi welcomed the level of Tunisian-British relations over the past decade, as well as the UK’s support to Tunisia. He stressed the need to continue bilateral consultations to increase cooperation in various fields and achieve new partnerships.

The two sides exchanged views on regional issues and international geostrategic developments and agreed to continue bilateral consultations in regional and international bodies to serve the common interests.
