Tunisia-Former minister Chiheb Ben Ahmed dies

Former Minister Chiheb Ben Ahmed passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

 Chiheb Ben Ahmed was proposed for the post of Minister of Local Affairs and the Environment during the ministerial reshuffle announced on January 16, 2021, by Hichem Mechichi. Chiheb Ben Ahmed has held the position of CEO of the Export Promotion Center (Cepex) since October 2020.

He had held several significant positions within Tunisair group. In 2011, he became General Representative of Tunisair in Egypt, before becoming, the following year, Deputy General Manager of Tunisair, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tunisair Handling and General Manager of Aisa-Tunisair. In 2013, he likewise became Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tunisair Technics.
