A webinar was held, Thursday, about a new website that tracks the spread of COVID-19 throughout the world including Tunisia and the United States. The website is created by a Data Analyst and former Tunisian Fulbright scholar at Standford University Dhafer Malouche.
During the one-hour webinar, which was attended by an audience from various backgrounds, Dr. Malouche focused through his well-detailed website on the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world by providing data, statistics and graphs on the lastest updates about the coronavirus, cases by day, country classification, cumulative cases…
Like many countries in the world, Malouche said, Tunisia’s policy was very successful in containing the COVID-19, namely the general lockdown, screening as well as border rules and restrictions. Yet, it is “possible” Tunisia will be hit by a second wave of the cornavirus viewing the large number of travelers visiting the country, he added.
Dhafer stressed the importance of collecting accurate data so as to provide a better understanding of the pandemic and how it is spread. His website contains more than 200 Dashboards describing the Covid-19 situation Countries with more than 1000 confirmed and all continents and their sub-regions.
