Tunisia-FTDES calls for an urgent end to the violations of the governor of Medenine against migrants and refugees

the Tunisian Social Observatory of the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) called for an urgent halt to the repeated violations of the governor of Medenine against migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

The forum praised the “citizens’ solidarity with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the Medenine region.”
The FTDES held “the central authorities responsible for taking appropriate decisions to preserve the dignity of these vulnerable groups, embodying the state’s commitment to the treaties it has signed.”
It further called “facilitating the work of organizations operating in Medenine, so that they carry out their duties in protecting these vulnerable groups.”
It finally that “rights and dignity are a right for all who are on Tunisian soil, regardless of their status, and the Tunisian state must assume its responsibility to achieve this.”
