Tunisia: Furious producers poured 500 thousand liters of milk into the wild for three days

Farmers and milk producers are furious and have revealed their disappointment over the past three days by dropping approximately 500 thousand liters of milk on the public highway. director of the Animal Production Unit within the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP), Mnawar Sghiri told  Shems FM.
He emphasised that the factories do not have enough capacity to absorb the excess production, which reached, at the start of the year, 40 million liters , adding that the angry producers came to protest against the lack of efficient answers to excess production.
Producers and farmers are hence calling on the authorities to take measures to facilitate the export of milk to other markets such as Algeria, Libya, the Gulf countries and sub-Saharan countries.
