Tunisia-Gabes: Extension of general lockdown in nouvelle Matmata

Gabes decided yesterday to prolong the general lockdown decreed in the delegation of nouvelle Matmata by one week, till August 29, 2021.
Concerning the unification of measures to combat the coronavirus which the Presidency of the Republic had called for, the governorate revealed that despite the improvement in the health situation in the region, nouvelle  Matmata is an exception to the rule. In fact, the risk of infection remains extremely high in the delegation (767 / 100,000 inhabitants).
However, administrations, public establishments and public enterprises will proceed to provide a minimum service. In addition, activities of a vital nature will be exempt from this measure. The governorate has further decided to extend the targeted lockdown to the delegation of Dkhila Toujane and to halt the activities of sports halls and game rooms until August 29, 2021.
