Tunisia-Gabès: hospital morgue saturated with bodies of 32 migrants

A well-informed source told Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent in the region that the morgue at the university hospital has attained its maximum capacity with 34 bodies of irregular migrants piled up.

The situation was more difficult at the start of September when the number of migrants reached 54. Some of them were buried, but the situation remains worrying, according to the same source.

Our speaker specified that administrative procedures take a long time, in addition to the rejection of certain municipalities to bury the bodies of migrants, which further exacerbates the crisis.
