A fire ignited on Tuesday in Om Larayes town at Gafsa Governorate, in a deserted building that had been employed for many years by the Gafsa Phosphates Company (CPG) to heat fuel oil, the TAP reported.
The flame was brought under control without any physical loss in the commercial phosphate production unit (laundry).
The company’s agents intervened to exterminate the fire with the company’s means, until the appearance of reinforcements from the Redeyef Civil Protection who were able to control the fire, Director of the CPG district in Om Larayes, Mohamed Hlaeim told the TAP.
He pointed out that an inquiry will be carried out by the CPG security service agents to find out the causes of the fire.
The assumptions where the fire broke out are set near the CPG laundry, in the city centre of Om Larayes.
