Tunisia-Gafsa Phosphate Company case: list of arrests

Many people were detained yesterday amid the case relating to the transport of phosphates,the Rakabah Observatory reporte.

Arrest warrants were issued against 14 suspects, including:

  • Abdellatif Hmam, former CEO of Compagnie des Phosphates and former Secretary-General of Youssef Chahed government
  • Ali Khmili, former CEO of the company
  • Najib Mrabet, former CEO of the company
  • Fathi Chafroud, former State Controller at the company
  • Taib yahyaoui, former CEO at the company
  • Miloud Bouzidi, former head of the Compagnie des Phosphates and current Director-General of Mines at the Ministry of Industry
  • Abderraouf Abdennabi, purchasing manager at the Company
  • Hamza AbdelKarim, former chairman of the public procurement commission at the company
  • Ali Yahya: Manager of Yahia transport company
  • AbdelWaheb Hfaiedh brother of Lotfi Ali, manager of the company SOTRAP
  • Mouldi Ali, manager of the company SOTRAM
  • Mehrez Radhouani
  • Neji Gouadria, manager of Société Gouadria de transport

It should be remarked that search warrants have been issued for MP Lotfi Ali as well as former industry minister Slim Feryani who are currently on the run.
