According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tunisia welcomes the request by the Security Council, in its resolution 2728 (2024), for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Tunisia calls for the necessity to respect this resolution, for its immediate and unconditional enactment, and to take all measures to guarantee the acceleration of the pace and the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid for the benefit of the Palestinian people. , by ensuring international protection and putting an end to the unjust siege imposed on it.

Tunisia underscores that it is the legal and moral duty and responsibility which place the international community before the obligation to put an end to the genocidal war against the Palestinian people so that they can retrieve all their rights and establish their independent State on all the land of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
