Ennahdha”s executive office today issued a statement revealing the commitment of its leader Rached Ghannouchi to speed up the establishment of the Constitutional Court, emphasising that this need to remain a “purely internal matter”.
It pointed out that the interest displayed by the “friends of Tunisia” in this affair is evidence that the democratic transition is on the right path.
Rached Ghannouchi stressed the obligation to address this matter with all parties involved with respect for state institutions including the presidency of the Republic. The leader of the Ennahdha Movement further expressed his concern at the proliferation of cases involving civilians before the military authorities, in particular with regard to cases linked to freedom of expression.
