Rached Ghannouchi on Sunday transmitted a letter to President Kaïs Saïed, which he signed in his capacity as house speaker. A letter in which he voices concern over the kidnapping and disappearance of Noureddine Bhiri. Ghannouchi reminded Saïed that it was his duty to disclose the whereabouts of Noureddine Bhiri, and to reassure his family and the public about his state of health.
Ghannouchi likewise called for a delegation of medical and human rights defenders to visit the detainee and to release him quickly. Ghannouchi wished to remind Saïed of his total rejection of the illegal manner in which Bhiri was arrested.
