Tunisia-Ghazi Chaouachi: There will be no referendum on July 25

The secretary-general of the Democratic Current, Ghazi Chaouachi confirmed that “there will be no referendum on July 25”. In a statement to private radio, Chaouachi emphasised that “if the referendum happens, it will fall and turnout will be low.”

The politician, on another aspect, estimated that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, desires a dialogue according to his measure and his consultative results. Separately, he called for the necessity to continue to resist what he depicted as Saied’s “individual path”. “We are parties opposed to the President of the Republic,” he assured.
