Tunisia-Governor of Tunis: Taxis authorized during weekends under certain conditions

Tunis Governor Chedly Bouallegue revealed today that individual taxi drivers will be permitted to work this weekend, as it is a public form of transport. Nevertheless, the latter will only be allowed to transport people in the situations mentioned in the joint press release of the 4 governorates, particularly students, university teachers, administrative staff, workers of universities and faculties, employees of centres of national examinations as well as urgent cases and people called for vaccination.

Violators face fines ranging from license withdrawal to vehicle seizure, he added.
