The governors of Grand of Tunis decided to extend the health measures of June 30 and July 6 to July 31, 2021.
The decisions were decided at the meeting of the regional committee which was held. this Monday, July 12, 2021, at the headquarters of the governorate of Manouba.
The governor of Manouba Mohamed Chikhrouhou told the TAP that the governors decided to proceed with the measure forbidding the circulation of vehicles in Grand Tunis, every weekend till July 31, except for emergencies, for vaccination and for the proper conduct of national exams and academics.
The extension additionally concerns the curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the suspension of weekly markets, the shut down of mosques, the ban on gatherings, celebrations or scientific, sporting and cultural events as well as the halt of fair activities, sports halls, wedding halls, congress halls, game rooms and Moorish baths.
The measures relating to the ban on the use of indoor spaces in cafes and restaurants stay in force. They further stressed the necessity to strengthen control over the application of the measures announced in addition to extended coordination of efforts directed at the care and accommodation in field hospitals given the capacity overruns of hospitals and Covid units.
