Tunisia: Growth of 2.1% in 2024 and 3.2% in 2025 according to ADB report

The African Development Bank Group has just issued the “Africa Macroeconomic Performance and Prospects” report, a biannual publication which appears in the first and fourth quarters of each year.

According to estimates, GDP growth in Tunisia is anticipated to attain 2.1% in 2024 and 3.2% in 2025.

In North Africa, projections indicate that growth is predicted to stay stable at 3.9% in 2024 before improving slightly to 4.1% in 2025.

The report recalled that in recent years, several countries have been impacted by successive waves of adverse weather conditions (drought in Morocco and Tunisia and floods in Libya).

With Egypt’s macroeconomic woes, the region has struggled to keep the progress made since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The lack of inclusive growth and high youth unemployment continue to pose social challenges, more than a decade after the 2011 Arab Spring”; reads in the report.
