The National Computer Security Agency (ANSI) has warned of hacking tries that target clients of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) as part of a “fishing” campaign.
“The hackers impersonate the BCT to seize the customer’s personal data first and then their money,” ANSI revealed, adding that they likewise fool the bank’s customers into starting a suspicious link that redirects them to a “fake page” Facebook assuming the identity of the BCT.
ANSI has consequently called on Internet users to be alert and not to unveil their personal data without checking the credibility of the pages they access and the data exchanged.
