The Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (Haica) declared in a press release published on Monday, June 21, 2021, that a special COVID-19 Telethon will take place.
The Haica stated the decision was adopted after consultation with the CEO of national television and that the telethon will be organized under the aegis of the state media with the participation of numerous legal broadcast media.
The body emphasised that the Telethon will be organized soon, after coordination between Tunisian television and radio and legal private television and radio stations. This initiative intends to support the national effort to fight coronavirus and to educate citizens about their pivotal role in this fight through the application of barrier gestures and the health protocol.
