Tunisia-HAICA fines 100 thousand dinars on Radio Quran

The Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) declared in a press release published this Thursday, December 31, 2020, that a fine of 100,000 dinars has been inflicted on the “unauthorized” radio station of the “Holy Quran”.

HAICA reveals that this fine was forced because of the abusive and insulting comments in the content of several of its programs.

These words, which adopt religious rhetoric, are demeaning to human dignity and are a provocation to hatred and violence, consequently threatening the physical integrity of people, public safety and social peace, believes HAICA.
