Tunisia-HAICA inflict fines on several media outlets

The executive committee of the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) has promptly issued apparent fines on several media outlets for breaches and violations committed during elections silence.

Below are the fined media outlets:

  • Unlicensed media outlet Radio Quran: fined 10,000 dinars for violating the electoral silence .
  • Radio Quran: 20,000 dinars for political publicity for the benefit of its owner Said Jaziri.
  • Ribat Fm: 5000 dinars for violating electoral silence.
  • Al Janoubia TV:10,000 dinars for breaking electoral silence 
  • Unlicensed media outlet Zitouna:20,000 dinars for violating  electoral silence
