Tunisia- HAICA seizes the equipment of Quran Karim Radio

The High Independent Broadcasting Authority (HAICA) accompanied by a  law enforcement seized the equipment used for broadcasting by an unlicensed radio channel, after a field inspection for illegal broadcasting activities, according to a statement from the authority.

The order was carried out in the implementation of the decision issued by the Commission’s Board on August 18, 2020, after inspection of the correspondence of the National Agency for Frequencies and the National Bureau of Radio and Television Broadcasting, according to which a radio channel under the name of the Holy Qur’an is randomly exploiting the 93.6 MHz frequency allocated to Youth Radio for broadcasting in Sfax and its suburbs.
