Tunisia-HAICA to sue Zitouna TV‎ On charges of incitement to violence

The High Independent Broadcasting Authority (HAICA)  decided to file a lawsuit against Zitouna TV on a charge of inciting violence against journalist and kapitalis chairman Ridha Kafi.

The  (HAICA) member Hichem Snoussi told the TAP agency that this channel is illegal and a number of cases are filed against it, including cases brought by the previous government due to the many violations it committed, indicating that it operates “illegally and without a license.”

He urged the judiciary to execute its function and rule on the cases brought and not to preserve the mentality of impunity, particularly since November 2 coincides with the “International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists”, displaying in this context his regret “for the lack of an echo of the cases brought against this channel.
