The preparations for the Hajj and Umrah season were discussed at a meeting Wednesday between Minister of Religious Affairs Brahim Chaibi and Saudi Ambassador in Tunis Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr.
The Minister commended the hospitality received by Tunisian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, while citing the joint projects concerning the development of Zitouna Mosque, Okba Ibn Nafaa Mosque and King Abdulaziz Mosque. The Saudi ambassador, for his part, emphasised the willingness to boost cooperation with Tunisia at all levels, especially in the religious field, the Ministry said in a statement. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of the ties uniting the two countries, leaders and people, as evidenced by cooperation in the religious field, as well as at the economic, social and cultural levels, the same source said.
