The Secretary-General of the Workers’ Party Hamma Hammami condemned the accumulation of all powers by Kais Saied, believing that the President of the Republic paved the way for fascism and tyranny.
Remarking on the appointment of Najla Bouden as prime minister, Hamma Hammami said she will just be a simple executor in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 117. He announced his party will not negotiate with her government as it is an illegal one, emphasising nevertheless that it defends the principle of parity in the future government.
Hammami announced the launch of discussions with the parties to form a front to resist what he saw as the “new authoritarian regime”.
