Tunisia-Happening in capital… feral pig wanders on Habib Bourguiba Avenue, !!

The surprising appearance of a pig in the centre of the capital has sparked widespread curiosity and speculation concerning its origins and the causes for its presence.
Dr Fakhr al-Nisa Shiha, a veterinarian, theorized that the pig might have embarked into the capital from neighbouring forests in search of food. She remarked that it is common for pigs to migrate towards residential areas when their natural habitats fail to provide adequate sustenance, especially if a female pig is seeking food for her offspring.
This occurrence prompts further investigation into how forests adjacent to the capital are interconnected with urban zones, and the relative ease with which wildlife can traverse these boundaries. Further, it emphasises the significance of local authorities’ roles in guaranteeing both the safety of the public and the preservation of wildlife.
Nevertheless the underlying reason, the presence of a pig on Habib Bourguiba Street is an unusual event that continues to generate discussion and concern.
