Tunisia-Hatem Mliki:I do not think that Kais Saied intends to become a dictator

Speaking to Shems FM, president of the national coalition Hatem Mliki asserted that prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi has the freedom to select independent or partisan political figures to form his cabinet under the condition that the person is a member of a government team and does not belong to any political party.

Commenting on declarations that the designation of Mechichi came to implement President Kais Siaed program, Mliki said that the return of dictatorship is impossible in Tunisia by all standards, adding that he does not think that Kais Saied has the intention of becoming a dictator.
He stressed that the head of the state didn’t seize the legislative and constitutional initiative in naming the prime minister, but rather implemented the constitutional text.
