The health condition of the attacker who carried out the strike on Notre Dame Church in Nice, southeast France, which resulted in three deaths, has worsened, pausing the hearing of his testimony, while five people are still in pretrial detention, France 24 reported according to sources close to the investigation.

The assailant was shot by police on Thursday while threatening its members in the church after the attack, he was transferred to the hospital in Nice, and the inspectors were unable to hear his testimony.

A judicial source stated that five people are still in pretrial detention, including a 29-year-old Tunisian who was arrested Tuesday morning in Sarcelles in the suburb of Paris. It is suspected that he spoke with the attacker several times during his trip to Europe.
