Tunisia-Health Minister affirms Tunisia’s willingness to boost cooperation and partnership with Germany and African countries

Health Minister Ali Mrabet affirmed Tunisia’s willingness to boost cooperation and partnership relations with Germany and African countries to develop the health system through the use of digital technologies.

The minister, who took part with Tunisian experts in the 8th German-African Healthcare Forum organised on October 27 in Berlin under the theme: “Partnerships for Resilient Healthcare Systems in Africa,” underlined in his address on “digital and innovative healthcare solutions” that Tunisia is endeavouring to develop a global approach to the digitalisation of the health sector, particularly in the field of telemedicine in order to bring health services closer to the citizen and reduce regional disparities.

He indicated that Tunisia has succeeded in a short time in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to conceive and develop digital platforms notably those related to the remote registration for appointments related to the COVID-19 tests and to the vaccination against the coronavirus “evax.tn.”

High-level experts and partners from Africa, Germany and Europe participated in this virtual meeting to foster business partnerships on the African Continent and to create a platform for exchange and networking between African and German key players in the healthcare field.
