Tunisia – Heat wave: Civil protection advice

On the report of an extreme heat wave for the coming days, civil protection issued a series of tips to avoid incidents related to the heat wave. Among these tips:

Removing cars that remain in the sun: Soft drinks

Matches and lighters Perfumes and batteries

Open car windows

Not refueling

Avoid pouring gasoline during hot weather

Avoid car travel in the mornings

Do not overinflate car tires

Watch out for snakes and scorpions that come out during the heat wave

Drink plenty of liquids

Do not leave gas cylinders in the sun

Avoid overloading electricity meters by extreme use of air conditioners

Avoid exposure to the sun for 10 to 15 hours.
