Tunisia-Hechmi Louzir: 4th dose of the vaccine is necessary

The director of the national vaccination campaign and of the Institut Pasteur Hechmi Louzir called on citizens aged 40 and over to receive the 3rd and 4th doses of the vaccine. Speaking on the airwaves of a private radio, he assessed that this group was the most vulnerable to the virus. Louzir explained that the fourth dose mainly concerns people who are over 60 years old and that only large-scale vaccination will contain a possible outbreak of cases in May and June 2022. He said that the significant progress in the epidemic situation and the significant drop in the number of contaminations and daily deaths does not mean, nevertheless, the disappearance of the virus which remains active in Tunisia and in Europe.
